As a physician-run medical spa, I would like to reassure all clients that Belle Vous Medi Spa practices the same sanitization and safety standards that are adhered to in my general medical practice. With the heightened sensitivity around the rapid spread of COVID-19, I would like to educate clients regarding our standard hygiene practices as well as some additional precautions we have implemented to ensure safety.

All surfaces, including the reception area, are cleaned with CaviCide in between each patient. CaviCide is a surface disinfectant that is effective against TB, HBV, HCV, viruses (hydrophilic and lipophilic), bacteria (including MRSA and VRE) and fungi and is relied upon by hospitals to protect areas including the NICU, operating rooms, isolation rooms, patient care areas and laboratories. All lasers and instruments used in conjunction with treatments are sterilized accordingly as well.

We are screening all clients prior to their appointment to ensure anyone considered at risk for exposure is rescheduled for a later date. We will be asking the following screening questions prior to all appointments:

  1. Are you experiencing any illness symptoms, including but not limited to, fever, cough and/or shortness of breath?
  2. Have you been exposed to anyone in the last two (2) weeks who is showing signs of illness?
  3. Have you visited any of the following locations in the last two (2) weeks?
    California
    Massachusetts
    New York
    Oregon
    Washington
    China
    Iran
    Italy
    Japan
    South Korea

All clients are being asked to wash their hands upon arrival at the spa and we will be checking temperatures with a laser thermometer prior to rendering any services. We have adjusted schedules to avoid having more than one client in the lobby at any given time to promote social distancing and we are spraying aerosolized disinfectant in areas between each client interaction.

We are screening our staff for symptoms and exposure daily just as we are our clients. Although the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines do not indicate face masks are necessary for those that are not sick or caring for those with symptoms, face masks are available at the facility as part of our personal protective equipment.

Your safety is of utmost importance to us today and every day. If you’re seeking a safe haven to get away from the stress of the media, the stir craziness of social distancing and/or kids home from school, please know that our medical-grade spa has exercised precautions to prevent disruption to needed pampering or relaxation services and ensure your continued well-being. Stay healthy and we look forward to your next visit.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jeffrey Scott
